It has been a long time since I last posted I see. Not sure why I haven't, guess I just got busy with life.
I will try and remember some of the things that have happened since I last posted.
December- This was our first Christmas without Larry, Ted's dad. It was bitter sweet. While glad to be celebrating the birth of Jesus we remember the people that we have lost. We all seem to be doing well these days though even if we do have moments of tears or giggles about him.
January- Cole seemed to have his "lightbulb moment" with reading and writing this month. He has taken off on both and is doing so well. His teacher and I had a conversation around November about his progress and she was a bit worried about how far behind he seemed to be. He's a young kindergartener and that plays into his progress but as of right now, he is up where he should be and doing great.
February- Pretty much more of the same.
March- My birthday was on the 1st of March and it was spent up in Ferndale with my whole family. Mom, Camille, and I spent the afternoon at Bellis Fair Mall where Mom tried her darndest to buy me proper shoes instead of my usual footwear, flip-flops. I tried to tell her that if she really wanted to get me something that I would like then she should look in the purse section. She declined over and over again. Needless to say, I love my new purse.
We did have a major family loss this month. Ted's grandpa Otto Fischer passed away. He was 2 months shy of his 98th birthday. He was such a sweet man and he will be greatly missed.
April- That's what month we are in now and so far we have had a very weird weather month. It started snowing here on the 18th and was still snowing today which is the 20th. Three days of snow in late April, where are we? Colorado? Alaska?
Camille was picked by her teacher to participate in the Monroe Young Authors all day camp held at the one of the middle schools this month. She sadly has decided not to do it which is unfortunate because she really is a great writer and has such a terrific imagination. She didn't want to do it because she was afraid that she wouldn't know anyone there. Another oppurtunity lost to my poor shy girl.
Something wonderful and unexpected happened this month and that was that we have a new family member. On April 13th a lady that I had contacted off of Craigslist drove from Tacoma to our house with her almost one year old lab and gave him to us! His name is CJ and he is the most terrific dog ever.
He turned one today and we sang to him and gave him a huge bone for a present. He loved it and attempted to carry it around the garage in his mouth but it was so large he just about tipped over. We are so happy to have him, he has us all wrapped around his furry little paw.
Guess that's pretty much the latest and greatest news from us, nothing too exciting but it's all I got.
